*Mrs Noggin*? Goodness, that's a first. And possibly a last?
How are you guys doing, Metro? Any hugs needed are readily available.
It sounds like his passing was swift and merciful. Which is really the best anyone can hope for once things reach a certain point. I'm sure you are giving your sister and nephew all the support you can.
These things are never easy. My thoughts are with you and yours.
Thank you all for your words, and for the sentiments they express.
I didn't know the man well, but what I recall of him I liked.
It seems he didn't have a lot of time to suffer, which seems to be what we really dread in death. And his family made it to the bedside to say goodbye.
I would address you in Spanisch, but this Adler has not yet surfaced from the Ridicule attracted amongst the Junior Eagles from Father Eagle's last (lamentable) attempt to pronounce "more" in Spanisch
Can we ask you to urge, request and require les notres amis Monsieur Metro et la admirable et mervaillaise Mdm Metro to let us us know if there is anything that we can do to help the Family
eg they would be very welcome here, if they were to find themselves in Inglaterra
I have the honour to remain Mrs Noggin's obedient servant und

Bonjour Monsieur Metro
As usual, Mrs Noggin puts it so much better than your obedient servant .... and in such a Noble Language
My condolences too, to you et Mme Metro and above all to the Family

My sympathies, Metro. To your sister and brother-in-law and to all the rest of the family.

May all our passings be at least as fortunate.

Thanks, everyone.
All that can be done, is being done. Your thoughts, and those of all the others who have written to express their sympathy, are overwhelming.
It gives a guy a lot of hope for humanity to see the "no-one is an island" reality in motion, by the power of electronic communication.
All the best to your sister.
