Just 'Cos Raincoaster Mentioned It

A workplace safety video from the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

I write about this stuff. In fact, I describe my job as "Sifting through the news to find stories of people whose last words were 'Oh $#17!'." This is my daily life. Wonder why RC thought I might be jealous?

Watch "The Chef" over at tentacle central, and check out "Family Man" (despite what the title on that page says) here.

Yes, yes, Canadians can be counted on to lecture one another about boring regulations and safety concerns, even while blood pours out of their gaping head wounds. Hours of fun for the whole family, watching these!
Addams Family, that is.

Y'know, I think you missed the point.

Still, if something this graphic is what it takes to save a life or two, I'm good with that.

Because there are two trusims about my work: 1) Most workplaces don't think about safety except as and until it impacts their bottom lines; and 2) There is nothing I can write that will prevent incidents of sheer human stupidity.

It only takes a second, people. Please, think.

I'm just jaded; you know that. As a blogger, I risk...burns from hot coffee?

The only one that really gets me is Family Man; it's just so AWWWWWWWWWWWW!
